2011
LSAB is getting ready
Långshyttan Slipservice was founded in 1982 in Svinöhed outside Långshyttan. In 2011, LSAB Group was created with a merger of Fortiva Group and Långshyttan Slipservice. LSAB Group has establishments in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Estonia
2012-2016:
LSAB GROUP 2.0 EXPANSION
The company starts with a strategy based on local presence and rapid expansion. Growth is achieved mainly through the acquisition of smaller local grinding mills. A number of own establishments are also made in existing markets. LSAB acquires Westlings and Vistträsk and strengthens its offering to Sågverk. LSAB establishes itself in Norway.
2017-2019
LSAB GROUP 3.0 CONSOLIDATION
LSAB Acquires Micor. Service operations are consolidated. New strategy with a focus on synergies and value creation. Service is no longer the core business but an offer among several in the portfolio
2020-2024
LSAB GROUP 4.0 DEVELOPMENT
LSAB is well-positioned in the Nordic and Baltic markets, with continued focus on Sawmills, Planing and Processing. The business areas of Wood Solutions, Metal Solutions, and Tooling are established. The development of the group’s international offerings continues, with ambitious plans for continued profitable growth. Operations in Russia are being phased out, and the service offering in the Baltics is being consolidated to Estonia.
Sustainability is receiving increased focus.
