LSAB Sweden has signed a strategic partnership agreement with EPS Services & Tooling Ltd from the United Kingdom. “The purpose is to develop both companies market shares in the UK. It will be a win-win situation for both parts”, says Fredrik Ivarsson, Export Manager at LSAB.

LSAB has recently completed major investments in its facilities in northern Sweden and Finland. Now, LSAB continues its expansion by entering a strategic partnership with the British company EPS Services & Tooling Ltd. The UK company manufactures wide bandsaw blades and provides servicing for the sawmill industry in Scotland, Wales and England. By the agreement LSAB strengthens its local service offer for clients in the British market.

EPS & LSAB have already implemented a knowledge sharing program covering a range of areas & processes, strengthening our technical knowledge to support quality that meets customers’ expectations.

In the first phase, the partnership will focus on the service of wide band saw blades from the EPS facility in Fife, Scotland. The unit is set up with modern CNC machinery and is strategically located to support sawmills throughout Scotland and Northern England, and from here, any service can be provided within 1–2-week cycles. LSAB and EPS have a strong ambition to become the powerful player in the British market, and in the future, the offering will be expanded to include service for circular saw blades, including maintenance sharpening and re-tipping, and the supply and servicing of other specialist tooling.
