LSAB Wood Solutions is a business area within the LSAB Group with the manufacture and sale of tools for wood processing. The business area has sales of approximately SEK 250 million and we are a leading player in Northern Europe. Our ambition is to be an international market leader in our niche. We see ourselves as a natural partner for Sawmills in Europe, North and South America. LSAB manufactures both band saw blades and saw blades and offers associated services. Our specialists visit sawmills every week and have a good understanding of our customers’ challenges. Consolidation
Big gets bigger. We see that the international groups are growing and driving consolidation in the market. The purpose is to create benefits through its size and to increase its market share through acquisitions and expansion. Size provides the opportunity to increase quality, R&D, utilize synergies etc. LSAB is a company with similar ambitions. We are transforming from a locally successful Swedish company with roots in Långshyttan, to being an international partner with a focus on larger groups, operating in several countries.
Internationalization
LSAB has its own operations established in five countries in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Our customers are located in 40 countries with a focus on Europe, South and North America. Our customers are becoming more international and we have the ambition to grow with our customers. Four steps for a rewarding collaboration
LSAB offers a defined process in four steps for us to develop the collaboration together. As always, we need to identify the current situation before proposing improvements. Loggmaster gives both parties a basis based on facts instead of gut feeling. Based on the current situation, we produce suggestions for improvements, which we simulate in our Effect calculation. Together, we choose the path and implement improvements, to finally follow up the outcome. Our ambition is to be a support for General managers, Site managers, Production managers and personnel who are responsible for the production and the whole of the process.
Current situation analysis
Step one in the process is to establish a current situation. This is mainly done by: Collection of data via interviews and visits to Sawmills. Site Manager / Production Manager. Identification of key figures, KPI for Sawmills. Implementation of Loggmaster for establishing facts about the saw line. Creates an image of the current situation based on facts. Creates transparency for management about the starting position. Enables benchmarking against other units.
