Micor Tooling launches, together with LSAB, the world’s greenest bandsaw blade: Langshyttan GreenCut
Micor Tooling is now launching, together with LSAB, the world’s greenest band saw blade for the sawmill industry. “Sustainability is very important to us and through the development of Langshyttan GreenCut we contribute to a significantly reduced CO2 footprint and become the first in the world to offer a greener alternative,” says Marcus Wärring, CEO Micor Tooling.
Today, Micor Tooling, together with LSAB, launches the world’s greenest bandsaw blade for industrial use – Langshyttan GreenCut. Over the past few years, Micor Tooling has been actively working to limit the environmental impact from its own production through energy-efficient investments and conversion to renewable energy only. At the same time, Micor Tooling continuously works with suppliers to find and develop more sustainable input materials. Micor Tooling has a long collaboration with voestalpine Precision Strip GmbH and in connection with the launch of Uddeholm strip with a significantly reduced CO2 footprint, Micor Tooling is now the first in the world to offer a greener alternative.

The new band material from voestalpine Precision StripGmbH together with Micor Toolings production, which only uses renewable energy, creates the opportunity to launch a band saw blade with heavily reduced environmental footprint.
Facts about Langshyttan GreenCut:
- -65% reduced CO2 emission compared to Langshyttan standard band and up to -76% compared to a standard bandsaw blade produced with European energy mix*.
- Langshyttans full product portfolio will eventually be offered as Langshyttan GreenCut.
- Langshyttan GreenCut has the same market leading performance as Langshyttans standard bands.
- All Langshyttan GreenCut bands are produced in Dalarna, Sweden.
